I’ve sat down several times to try to describe the feeling of now being a published author. Even just typing those words, published author, still gives me goosebumps. Words continue to escape me trying to define this feeling and I think the best way to describe it right now is wanting to both do cartwheels across the living room, and build a blanket fort to hide in.
Birth of the Five has been a work in progress for a long time, and now it’s finally out there for the world to see. I feel like I’ve been hanging out with Dale, Erion, Aden, Dylan, and Hoyt, among others, for some time now – I really hope everyone else loves them as much as I do.
Its a mix between terror and exhileration – writing this, and especially now publishing it, is an incredibly vulnerable experience and one I don’t know that I really prepared for. Regardless of that, I truly hope everyone finds some enjoyment in reading Birth of the Five, and if so, buckle up because we’re just getting started.
