The troll, possibly Lucius the Wanderer, reached in to grab another revenant but couldn’t quite get around the flame. He leaned in further and as his fingers were about to grip onto the blackened skull of the skeletal revenant, his own arm caught on fire.
He pulled it back quickly and slapped at it with his other hand to put it out. When he was no longer becoming a troll kebab, he turned his head to face the guys still standing on the beach. His burnt umber eyes bore into Aden’s and spoke louder than any words could have.
Do it. Jameson and Hoyt both said to him. He had already released the ring of fire before they got the second word out.
The skeletal revenant was somehow prepared for this and started to draw its weapon on Lucius.
“Reverse,” the troll bellowed. He pushed the revenant’s arm aside, grabbed it around its midsection and, with a cracking sound, ripped it in half. He then proceeded to beat the two halves together like a creepy Jolly Chimp toy until there was nothing but dust left.
Damn, he’s badass, Dylan sent everyone.
Well, we loosened them up for him, Aden replied.
